How successful are dental implants?

Dental implants are made with highly durable ingredients, titanium to be exact. Dental implant success depends on a few factors:

  • The quality and skill of your dentist.
  • Whether or not your mouth has an environment friendly for dental implants, which is determined by your dentist.

Dr. Sam and David Ganji have performed hundreds of dental implants on their patients and continue to stay educated on the current techniques and trends in dental implants.

How long do dental implants last?

Dental implants are designed to last a lifetime. However, there are many factors that may impede on this such as home care. Dental implants should be treated and cared for like real teeth with proper hygiene and regular visits to your dentist.

How much do dental implants cost?

Dental implant costs vary from practice to practice, but we try and stay competitive with our pricing. The important thing to consider with dental implants is what the cost would be by choosing not to receive a dental implant. Patients who neglect the need for a dental implant have the possibility of further damaging the mouth and gums through bone loss, resulting in costly bone grafts and other periodontal procedures to correct.

However, we are currently running a special for dental implants that include both the crown and the abutment for one price. We also offer financing options for your convenience.

Does insurance cover the cost of dental implants?

This depends on your insurance provider – some providers cover the procedures, while others do not. Most dental insurance providers do not cover the cost of the implant placement, but may offer restorative benefits.

Certain cases may also be covered through your medical insurance over very specific cases such as jaw reconstruction in which all or most of your teeth are missing, limiting you from being able to properly chew and consume food necessary for survival.

Our staff will work hard to help you get the best coverage possible, but the best you could do is give your insurance provider a call to discuss further.

Will I be unable to eat food during the dental implant process?

No, but you may need to follow a special diet consisting of softer foods for the first few weeks after the implant has been set. You will have a temporary denture or bridge while the implant takes time to set in the mouth underneath the gums (up to 6 months).
