Hopefully your parents taught you to never show up to a party empty-handed. If they haven’t, then no problem; your Los Angeles dentists @ Ganji Dental have you covered this year! And of course we wouldn’t suggest any food ideas that were unhealthy for us.

Whether you’re hosting a July 4th party or going to one, we wanted to give you three simple, fun, and festive ideas that we’re sure will win some brownie points this year. Without further ado, here they are.

3 Festive July 4th Snacks Made to Impress

1. Star-Spangled Banner Yogurt Parfait

Ingredients:

  • Clear SOLO® plastic cups or similar brand
  • Plain, white tart yogurt (any brand)
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries or raspberries (we prefer strawberry)

It’s really easy to make. Take one of your clear cups, fill it with the yogurt, then add in the fruit, and stir it around lightly. The end result will be a nice swirl of healthy items that sport red, white, and blue. Make as many as you see fit. It tastes great, too!

2. American Flag Platter

Ingredients:

  • -Blueberries & Raspberries
  • -Bananas
  • Watermelon
  • Strawberries
  • Carrots (if necessary)

A little bit tougher to conjure up, but not too bad. Just takes a little creativity. Take the above listed ingredients and work them to the best of your ability to create the American flag. You can make skewers our of chopped up fruits instead. We recommend using strawberries and banana slices for the red and white flag part, while using blueberries as the top left star section.

3. Star-Spangled Skewers

Ingredients:

  • Any fruits or veggies of your choice
  • Plain skewers

Also really basic are skewers you can create using various fruits and vegetables. If you want to keep things festive then we recommend the same fruit we’ve listed in the other two ideas. Otherwise may we suggest a healthy tomato and cheese skewer that is always a fan favorite. White cheese and grilled tomatoes work well. You could also add in a basil leaf.

Show up with one of these food ideas and you’ll definitely get at least one compliment. People appreciate well thought-out dishes such as these. No matter how well your party is, there’s one thing we want to remind you of: don’t forget to brush and floss when you get home! And also, make sure to stay hydrated to allow saliva to fend off decay. ☺

Happy 4th of July from the team @ Ganji Dental!
